This week is my kids spring break! My girls love a good barn hunt, as much as I do. We cruised down Route 66, and stopped off at Gary's Gay Parita . There is such an awesome collection of things to see! Love the gas station and old cars!
Doesn't this remind you of Radiator Springs??
Cute,cute gas station!
Wonder Bread sign!
Neato gas truck! With fabulous garage behind it.
My daughter noticed the pretend feet and lantern under the car! Looks like somebody is getting some work done under there. ;) So fun!
I wish gas was still .15!!! Love the gas pump and Gas War sign.
If you ever get to southern Missouri. Definitely drive Route 66. I would love to drive the entire thing one day.

SINCLAIR GASOLINE!!! wow! Loved that dinosaur!!! Thanks for sharing this....amazing someone can sell gas for 15cents these days! (just kidding...I know it was just for display!) I saw a documentary on Rt. 66 last year....it was really interesting! I think it was on Netflix...not sure. I would love to travel it from one end to the other, too!
that was an interesting place to stop. Behind one of the trucks was an old rock/stone garage!! What a fun place.
We were in Flagstaff, Az. where route 66 goes through and they have some neat things there as well! It would be fun to do a trip on route 66 from the beginning to the end!
really cute collection of stuff. :)
Such a great collection of pictures Jori! WOW! I wish we had cool stuff around here...when it gets warmer...I'm on the hunt. I love that old gas station...they demolished everything around where I grew up:'(
Neat photos! I've lived in MO my whole life, but haven't heard of Gay Parita! We were on Rt. 66 in AZ a few years ago. I think it would be great to travel the whole route!
What fun things you found on your trip! Love all this nostalgia!
How fun! So many neat things to see there. If I'm ever in the area I'll check it out for sure. Love the old cars and signs!
What a great day to spend with your girls! Love the old signs and cars and pretend feet...so, so good! Great photos!
Neat photos of some old time nostalgia! Love the old cars and gas station. I also like the old outhouse with the crescent moon on the door.
