Pretty Barn and White Cows

Everybody is back to school today.  I so enjoyed having my girls on barn hunts, and cruising Route 66 with me last week.

This photo was taken on one of our barn hunts.  I hope these kind of days, will be happy memories for my girls.  I know for me, the simple times with my parents, are the days that really stand out.  Long rides, and lounging around the house chatting with my family, are what I remember most.  It reminds me that the best things in life really are free.

Of course these days will stick with the girls. :o) What's better than fun times cruising down the road with your mama? Truly the best!

The barn and cows are delightful! :o)

Love that the cows are in the photo!
It's a really nice looking barn and I love the silo!
I always loved spring breaks when my kids were little. We always tried to go somewhere.

I always hated to see my girls go back to school. Just dreaded it so bad...whether at the end of summer or at the end of a break.

Love the photo...

You're just so lucky to live in an area where you can go from city to rural in no time flat. Can you believe that there are children in the city who have never seen a cow? Never seen open space like that? Something needs to be done about that.

Beautiful photo, Jori, and I just know your girls will remember these wonderful days, as you did with your parents. It is true what you say, the best things in life are the simple pleasures of home and family. xoxo

Pretty as a picture!

My son and I were talking today about having the windows open to let in cooler air...and he said his most pleasant memories of home were this time of year, when all the windows were open and the breeze was blowing gently through the windows and he could smell the fresh air and his dad cooking outside in the back yard...and the scents of me cleaning the house. He said this time of year makes him wish he was at home laying on the floor in front of the tv. lol It was nice to know he has pleasant memories of his childhood!

I remember long country drives w/ my family, so I'm sure your girls will remember these days w/ you. I used to love those country drives & that's why I've continued them w/ my daughter! Love it!
Love the crinkled texture, too.
