The children seemed to be having such fun. I love driving past Amish communities, it's like stepping back in time. I so admire their way of life.
These are the only shots I got, I was driving, and trying not to be obvious about taking pictures. I didn't want to intrude too much on their day. The little cutie(in blue)in the photo below waved at us as we drove by.

Love these photos. Reminds me of visiting Amana Iowa a number of years ago. Though not an Amish colony sometimes mistaken and same sort of lifestyle..was/is a tourist stop with woolen mill, museum and couple of very nice restaraunts that served simple delicious meals family style.
Wonderful images. Yes, it does take us back in time.
We have Amish and Mennonite communities in our area. Always wonderful to see their simple life in action.
Aww, that's so sweet that she waved at ya'll. She probably would have loved to have played with your girls.
I admire anyone who follows their beliefs with such dedication.
Such neat photos! I love the effect on them. So sweet about what your kid said :)
I've always admired them, too! Great pics taken on the sly. It is as though traveling instantly back in time.
The textures you used are just perfect for those photos! Such a story they tell...love them!
Lovely photos of the Amish ~ enjoy ^_^
These are great! I love the texture on the photos too. We live by the Amish and enjoy driving through their community as well. :)
Lovely photos of the Amish and great textures you used. The little girl in the blue dress is darling.
I love the grainy quality of these images...that along with the subject matter really transports us through time...well timelessness:-)
Amazing shots, they look like impressionist paintings. I love them.
