Today my kids were with me on a barn hunt! My 9 year old spotted this bald eagle in a tree! I flipped around and guess what?? There were two of them! I had to zoom pretty far to photograph them. I was kicking myself for not having my tripod in the car. These are a bit blurry because I couldn't hold my camera still, zooming that far. One was facing one way, and the other the opposite direction. Team hunting maybe?
It was exciting! They are such amazingly beautiful birds!

how absolutely awesome! i'd be absolutely thrilled!
WOW!! They must be building their nest somewhere in those trees. ( Have you ever watched the eagle cams that they have set up in Iowa? )
So cool!!! I'll bet your kids will never forget seeing them....FIRST!
They are magnificent! Love the eagles! You got some great shots with your zoom.
You captured a beauty. Nice shot.

Wow! You got great shots with the zoom! Were the kids as excited to see them as your were?
Congratulations to your 9 year old for having eyes like an eagle...it is at the very time we are looking for something else and God uses a child to spot the beauty we would have missed.
Eagles are such majestic birds. You did an awesome job...even their eyes
hugs
Wow! What photos! Fantastic! ^_^ Bald Eagles one of nature's gifts and you saw two! ^_^
Breathtaking! Love the pics.
awesome!! we would see them in the trees all the time at the end of fr 105. wonder if they still go there?
I still can't believe you captured these two. It's incredible!
Boy, you did great without a tripod! I spent yesterday scouting our pair about 10 miles from the house. The eaglets are almost as big as the parents now and one of them stood up in the nest and began flapping his wings. Very exciting.
They are probably nesting close by. We have a pair near where I am. They are a delight to watch if you can find them and have the time. Which I don't unfortunately.
BTW, I'm in LOVE with the little burro.
