Pretty Critters

I love taking pictures of critters while I am out and about. Some of them sit still and look at me, others take off running. Maybe the ones that run have heard the hamburger rumor. ;)
Love the frosty grass in this pic. In this pasture the horses are usually running in a group.  I hope to capture all of them running sometime.  I think they look so pretty when their tales and manes are flying.

If his name isn't "big boy" I think it should be.

I think she would make an excellent unicorn. :)

Just yesterday when Hubby and I were out hunting barns (that sound funny...like we would shoot them and take them home for supper), we stopped multiple times for pictures of cows and horses. Hubby yells "hey" at them and then whistles, and the horses pick their heads up and look at us like, "can't you see I'm eating?" and then go back to their grazing. The cows just stare...no expression. Poor things...their lives must be so boring. Horses look happy...must be the burger thing...horses are glad they are not overseas, but in America where Burger King doesn't use horse meat. lol

I bet the horses running are a beautiful sight. Something to strive for. Each of these portraits are wonderful, especially Big Boy, who is aptly named. :)

awe! your "unicorn" is pretty! there is something very sweet about a cow's face. I lived near a cow pasture when I was about 12 and they loved for us to scratch their heads.
