I've seen this several times, I have never been able to decide if it was a school or church. The date on the front says 1867. The top photo was edited with the Distressed FX app. The bottom one is straight out of the camera.
Thoughts? What do you think it is?

Hi Jory, Great old building, It's so hard as you say to decide if it's a school or church, would love to see inside! Looks like it has the outhouse! I am now following you on my new blog, would love for you to visit! xo Pam
That's a very good question, Jori! I can't decide what it might have been. I like the distressed look of the first photo. Nicely altered!
Hmm..I'm thinking school?
Hmmm, my vote is for school. I love the photos! Can't decide whether I like the original or edited version better :)
I think school as well :)
It could be a small town hall?
Ths is a great find. The edit adds so much character and depth. Love!
Jori, ok! YOU need to frame and sell this photo to highest bidder. That is really well done.
I'd probably say school. But whatever it is it's a great old building.
oh gosh i don't know but i love it! you edit is gorgeous! let us know if you find out anything else on it :) where is this anyway?
I'll be different....I say church.
Could be a machine shop. Whatever it was/is it's a great photo.
It's hard to say but between the two I'd say school house. That being said I think it could just as well have been a small modest home of that period of time.
I too love your edit!
I'm going for school on this one. :o)
Great old building and lovely edit!
These are great shots, I love the edited version!
They are both lovely and each has its own merits. Love the sky in the SOOC and the edited piece has a great grunge/vintage feel. Thank you for sharing these with Photo Art Friday, Jori.
I like both versions for different reasons. Not sure what the building could have been used for but you did a wonderful job editing your piece.
love them both and each is gorgeous!!
Beautiful photo art!
