Holiday Sparkle Snowman!

Once again Cyndi is killing me with cuteness!  This guy is going to sit on top of this vintage ice cream container.  I can't wait to put it together.  I think a little glittery fluffy snow on the container, and then the snowman on top will be too adorable.

Oil of Olay Regenerist

So... when did I go from being a zit faced little teenager to a 38 year old with wrinkles??

The other morning I noticed a big ol' crease by my lip.  I assumed I must have slept on my face and it would go away as the day progressed.  Ummmmm, no.  Weeks later still here.

I remembered seeing on The Today Show that Oil of Olay Regenerist is fab and not horribly expensive.  Costco has two jars for 38.99.  I decided to give it a whirl.  Not even kidding when I say that within a couple of days my pores were smaller, and my big nasty face crease was almost completely gone.  WOWZA!  I have always been a bad face moisturizing person.  Remember, I still think I am a zit faced teenager, who would rather perish than put anything oily on my face. ;)  The Regenerist makes my skin feel and look great.  So, if you are in need of a good moisturizer give it a try.  If not, get on back to your business. :)

Saving CeeCee Honeycutt

If you haven't already, please read this.  I LOVE,loved it!

Synopsis by Publishers Weekly:

Hoffman's debut, a by-the-numbers Southern charmer, recounts 12-year-old Cecelia Rose Honeycutt's recovery from a childhood with her crazy mother, Camille, and cantankerous father, Carl, in 1960s Willoughby, Ohio. After former Southern beauty queen Camille is struck and killed by an ice cream truck, Carl hands over Cecelia to her great-aunt Tootie. Whisked off to a life of privilege in Savannah, Ga., Cecelia makes fast friends with Tootie's cook, Oletta, and gets to know the cadre of eccentric women who flit in and out of Tootie's house, among them racist town gossip Violene Hobbs and worldly, duplicitous Thelma Rae Goodpepper. Aunt Tootie herself is the epitome of goodness, and Oletta is a sage black woman. Unfortunately, any hint of trouble is nipped in the bud before it can provide narrative tension, and Hoffman toys with, but doesn't develop, the idea that Cecelia could inherit her mother's mental problems. Madness, neglect, racism and snobbery slink in the background, but Hoffman remains locked on the sugary promise of a new day

Best.Conditioner.EVER!

My eight year old insisted that I blog about this conditioner. You see, she has a sensitive little head. She flips when I comb out her tangly little rats nest. My youngest daughters hair is naturally curly and super dry.  If I am not careful, it will dredlock on me. SO I started using Pureology on them, and it is a DREAM. Tangles fall right out. A comb goes through their hair, easy as pie.  Plus it smells all MINTY!  LOVE it! It's seriously like magic. It's a professional product, but  I have seen it at Target for 28.00 for a tiny bottle. I bought a huge bottle off of Amazon for 38.00(here). You seriously use a pea sized amount and it will instantly detangle an entire head of hair. A bottle will last forever because you use such a small amount at a time.

BTW-I think it is pretty obvious this isn't a money making blog. It's just for fun, so even tho' I would like a piece of that sweet Pureology pie, alas I get the big ZERO. Just wanting to help the world out one rats nest at a time. :)

The Son of Neptune

I finished The Son of Neptune, and loved it.  BUT, what was up with all of the typos?!  The ibook version was riddled with them.  I am wondering if the hard copy had the same problem.  Anybody read it?

My beef of the day

My favorite ice cream is Baskin Robbins Peanut Butter and Chocolate. It has been since I was 8 years old. Usually when we go for a little frosty treat, my husband runs in and I wait in the car with our kids.

The last couple of times, I have been sorely disappointed.  There hasn't been so much as a SPECK of peanut butter in my chocolate. Both visits I have said to my husband "What's with getting me crappy ol' plain chocolate." His reply both times, It isn't plain chocolate. It is PB&C. SO today we went and finally got to the bottom of this no peanut butter business.

My husband asked Mr. Ice cream man, to please make sure I wasn't hosed out of even more peanut buttery goodness.  His reply. "Sorry sir, there is a woman that comes in every week for a half gallon, she insists that we core out all of the peanut butter." WHAT?????? and they actually let her do this??? Why don't I go into the cupcake shop and tell them I want to buy only the frosting off the tops of the cupcakes.  I may have to stake out our local ice cream shoppe and give this lady a little smack next time she comes in.  I mean really, who does that??  Okay,okay... I am alright now.  Just had to send this out into the universe. :)  BTW what is your favorite ice cream flavor.

Sweetest thing EVER!

This is so dang cute, it had me bawling.

Fall S'mores

Did you see these awesome Fall S'mores on Oh Joy!??

Cool Saturday Stuff

I am SO in love with this cooler weather! It is pure heaven and is starting to feel like fall. We played at the park, and in the back yard all day. We bought some yummy pumpkin bread at Costco, and found out that if you slather it with cream cheese frosting it's even better.(shocker right??:) We have been watching Lion King on blue ray all weekend. I had forgotten how much I like that show. Here are a couple more cool things about today.
I am stoked about my new calendar!

We downloaded the byu tv app so Ryan can watch any BYU games that aren't on ESPN. Plus there are other great shows to watch too!

Lenka Radio

I LOVE a rainy day!  I am just puttering around listening to Lenka Radio on Pandora.  I love it! I had to share the above pic, the kids were loving jumping in the rain until there was a loud clap of thunder.  I couldn't believe how quickly they got their little tushies inside the house. :)  Also if you are a BYU fan, watch this.  I heart it. :) I especially love the ending when it says "Don't let the testing center take that hair from us"  I agree!  GREAT HAIR!
