For months I agonized over how to tackle the job, of repainting my cabinets. I flipped through design magazines, blogs, and had endless conversations with Home Depot dudes. I usually ended up feeling frustrated, like it was too great a task. The Home D. guys I spoke with told me I would have to sand the cabinets bare, glaze them, heat them reglaze.....What the??? Excuse me while I fashion a noose and hang myself sir. I finally decided to just go for it(with my clever momma's help of course) Here is what we did:
Lightly sanded(just slightly roughed them up) the cabinets while the doors were still hanging.
Got out our handy dandy drill and took all of the doors down

We then laid out a drop cloth, laid the doors down(on the plastic above each door we wrote with a sharpie where each door belonged, like over the fridge right side or whatever- this was SO helpful when we hung them back up) and primed them.(2 coats) I just used a mini roller and a brush for the little corners. After they dried I applied two coats of Glidden Prairie Sage paint. We hung the doors back up and installed the hardware.
